Welcome! I’m katie. A full time college student and health food enthusiast. After being diagnosed with celiac disease in 2010 and suffering the negative effects of commercially produced “gluten free” processed foods, I took it upon myself to begin creating recipes that were not only healthy, but that my body could easily digest. Having celiac disease, as some of you may know, means having a pretty darn compromised digestive system. For that reason, many of my recipes are free from hard to digest grains, legumes, and dairy. And for the sake of health and good nutrition, I opt to use natural sweeteners rather than refined sugar.
Cooking has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Being raised by 2 foodie parents and first handedly experiencing one of the top culinary arts schools in the nation, I am confident in my abilities to not only make food healthy, but food that tastes incredible. I’m passionate about the recipes I create and firmly believe that simplifying the gluten free way of life, and nourishing our bodies with fresh, wholesome ingredients is the perfect recipe for great health and a happy life!
